Every year Jack’s work does a fly-in for all of their customers. There is lunch and his boss does a presentation of different things they are working on and also trouble things to look for on their airplanes. We usually try to go every year because it is fun to be able to meet some of the customers that Jack talks about all the time and also we love to watch the planes! With is being in October we never know what the weather is going to be like but today was absolutely perfect! Thank you Lord!
Jack has been doing some really fun things over the past year at work and I’m so incredibly proud of him! He finished his pilot’s license several months ago and that opened new doors to be able to help with picking up wrecked airplanes and also helping customers transport their airplanes. He also has a few friends that are customers that ask him to go along flying with them every now and then and that’s always fun for him too. He and another guy at his work have been doing research for the past couple of weeks developing a new piece to add to the engines to keep them cooler which would make them last longer. It’s so neat for him to be able to do some of this creative work as well and of course it’s always exciting because testing a new prototype also means flying :)
We also picked up Laila’s new power chair earlier this week so we brought it out to the airport for a nice open space to practice in. That thing will not be coming in my house to ruin my drywall any time soon but she is enjoying the freedom of using it outside in big spaces :)

Go, Laila, Go!!! That chair is going to provide such independence! I'm proud of you for being willing to let her try it out somewhere, and being outside is always good for her. :)
